Second Annual Blog Meet - New Info

The date for the Second Annual Blog Meet has changed from the last week in November to Saturday, November 8th to November 15th.

Other important changes:

1. There will be a mini-blog meet in Scotland on November 9th in Edinburgh. The contact for this blog meet will be GilraenH.

2. The grand bloggity finale will be held November 15th in England at a city/town of the bloggers choice. You get to decide where it will be held. Some suggestions are Nottingham, Plymouth, Leeds, Exeter, York, Birmingham, Cardiff, Bristol, Gloucester, Ipswich, Leicester, Cambridge, Northampton, Peterborough and Norwich. Please note that this list in not exclusive, other places can be suggested and remember that the majority rules.

I will run a poll for the top five suggestions over the next few weeks.

Other important information:

I believe that consistency is important and would like to build a tradition of mini-blog meets to be held during the week of the BCUK Bloggity Meets. Therefore, a blog meet will continue to be held in Brighton, London, Manchester and Liverpool. Details to follow soon.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Ooh, Edinburgh...I like Edinburgh!

As for the main event, I don't know anything about any of those towns, so I shall refrain from voting. Provided that someone can 100% promise me that there will be Guinness there, I shall be happy.

Ooooh i just read on, i vote for Nottingham (which is where i live) so i could still spend the day with L and then party at night with you's lot besides that way i can have N with me

  I have to say - Leeds was ace the last time we went there. We got a bulk deal on rooms at the hotel and pretty much took over the lounge till 3am both nights.
  
  Nixie (ex blogger) organised it but I think it has to be a few folk's responsibility cos it's hard work to arrange.

    I've only been out a few times in Leeds but it was always good. I think taking over a hotel (agian) would be a wonderful idea!

Count me, and by extension Landers, in! We'll be flying in so it matters not a jot to us where the main event is held.

Birmingham gets my vote, it's got good transport links, and plenty of hotels.

I will say that Leeds is pretty central, if you look at a map.

It should be Manchester. Direct links to station and airports...also...so few here for such a huge event!!! More need to be involved....how could you do that?

Leeds, LIverpool maybe..especially City Of Culture Year...you may get some deals reflecting that...as in ...wanting to be part of City of Culture...Brill publicity..media interest...just a thought...but think central.

It may be an idea to get one of those survey polls once we have about 5 choices. But my vote would go to somewhere central with good transport links, so Leeds or Birmingham seem to be the best choices.

I vote for either Leicester or (wait for it ladee-bird...) Nottingham as they are both near to me and are in the centre(ish) of the country.

Bit late, to this, but if it is too far up north I may not be able to go and I so want to do abig blog meet.

Liverpool and Leeds will definately be a no no, Cardiff is ok as I can possibly stay with my cousin or friends, Birmingham if I can bring a friend along though be warned she may be man hunting so take care all you single men out there!!
